Edinburgh by air

Edinburgh is served by Edinburgh International Airport.  You can fly direct from all over the world and from within the UK.

Once your flight has touched down you can get into the City Centre by:

Tram - one of the easiest ways to get to and from the airport with fast and frequent services to Edinburgh city centre. Trams depart every 7 minutes, between 7am and 7pm, and every 15 minutes out with these hours, with an end-to-end journey of just 30 minutes.

Bus - Travelling to the airport by bus couldn’t be easier, with direct links to Edinburgh city.

Edinburgh by train

Edinburgh has direct connections across the UK including an overnight service from London on the Caledonian Sleeper:

Scotrail - For services across Scotland

LNER - Services from London Kings Cross and up the east coast

Caledonian Sleeper - Overnight service from London

Avanti - Service from London Euston up the west coast of the country

Getting around Edinburgh

Bus

Edinburgh trams has 15 stops that connect Edinburgh Airport with the New Town. Discover its route, timetable and schedule.  Remember to pay before you board!

Taxis
There are over 1000 black cabs which can be hailed in the street or picked up from one of the taxi ranks within the city centre.
